Built 500 -  founded by AJ Waggoner .

   I've spent decades riding and racing 500cc 2 stroke motorcycles.

That passion led to a dedication in both keeping them in production ,and improving their performance. 

  As the operations manager 

and lead design /fabrication 

specialists at Service Honda I founded the production model CR500AF in 1997 with Honda's new twin spar 

  aluminum CR250 chassis,and brand new CR 500 engines.

  Twenty odd years later and over 6000 motorcycles built , I'm still dedicated to preserving the fantastic CR500 engine ,increasing the parts availability ,and in continuing to offer riders options to own a  CR500AF  

motorcycle. 

While the site centers on the 

CR500AF, there are many other products,parts,and motorcycle models I made while at Service Honda and continue to offer currently with Built.

I have built custom off road motorcycles for Travis Pastrana,Jeremy McGrath,Mike Metzger,Brian Deegan,Robbie Maddison,Trigger Gumm,Scott Murray and 

Mythbusters just to name a few.
